Roux at Landau
Quintessentially British fine dining at the iconic Langham Hotel
I love The Langham, which is always so elegant and inspiring!
Le Roux at Landau, one of their signature restaurants reopened its doors after refurbishment with a new dining concept and decor which resembles an all-day modern brasserie.
Recently, I had the pleasure to go there for a meal accompanied by my dad who was in town. He's a bit fussy about food and difficult to please when it comes to fish and meat, but we were both quite happy with Le Roux A La Carte menu proposal.
Chef Nicolas Pasquier, who is from the Vendée in western France, oversees the menu. He serves modern French food with a British twist. The dishes are executed with classic French cooking techniques. “clean, focused flavours” and the presentation is impeccable.
If you're wondering what my choices were, here's a few options: I've started with La Latteria’s burratina, Solies figs, raspberry and pickled walnut followed by Buccleuch beef fillet, duck fat confit ceps, crisp potatoes and berry sauce as a main and to finish up: Manjari moêlleux, cardamom ice cream and caramel cloud.
Worth mentioning service is excellent, and I am sure I will go back there for another remarkable dinner!
